The first quarter of 2026 belongs, quietly, to the blue dial. The Nautilus 5711/1A-014 — a quieter sibling to its photogenic 010 — has appreciated 7.8 percent on our floor since December. The Royal Oak 15500ST in blue has done much the same, though with less drama. Steel-on-steel pieces with blue gradients are passing through Riyadh more frequently than at any point we have on record.
What this is not, however, is a speculative wave. The volume is measured. The buyers, in our reading, are first owners — collectors who have lived with a steel sport piece long enough to want a second, more contemplative one.
We expect this to continue through the summer. The LUXVAULT Index reflects it. We do not, as a matter of principle, advise on holding periods — but if you came in cold to ask what we'd recommend, today, the answer would be: walk, do not run, and trust the dial that has aged the longest.
